Financial Systems and Integrations Manager


Overview

The Manager, Accounting Liaison serves as the critical bridge between Horizon's technology teams and the accounting/finance function. This role is responsible for managing and optimizing the accounting technology ecosystem (Sage Intacct, LeaseQuery, ADP, etc.), ensuring seamless integrations with operational systems like ServiceTitan, and driving continuous improvement in financial reporting, compliance, and data accuracy. The individual will also lead accounting system migrations during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring scalable and standardized practices across the enterprise.


Key Responsibilities

  • Technology & Accounting Coordination
    • Act as the primary point of coordination between technology and accounting to align system capabilities with business needs.
    • Own and administer the accounting tech stack (Sage Intacct, LeaseQuery, ADP, etc.), ensuring security, scalability, and adoption.
  • Product Ownership & Roadmap
    • Own and manage the Sage Intacct product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and finance transformation priorities.
    • Serve as the subject matter expert and escalation point for Sage Intacct support.
  • Integration & Reporting
    • Partner with the Data team and external vendors to monitor and validate APIs, ensuring reporting accuracy and alignment with business requirements.
    • Act as liaison between ServiceTitan and Baker Tilly to ensure continuous improvement and integration between operational and financial systems.
  • M&A System Leadership
    • Lead all accounting system integration activities for mergers and acquisitions, including migration of AR balances, inventory, and legacy data into Sage Intacct.
    • Define and enforce best practices for accounting system standardization and onboarding.
  • Reporting & Optimization
    • Continuously improve reporting accuracy, transparency, and timeliness to support finance and executive decision-making.
    • Optimize financial close processes through automation and system enhancements.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and audit requirements as they relate to system integrations and financial reporting.
  • Partner with Internal Audit to validate system controls and segregation of duties across the accounting tech stack.

Training & Change Management

  • Develop training materials and conduct user training sessions to increase adoption and effective use of Sage Intacct and related systems.
  • Champion change management practices to support accounting teams through technology rollouts and process improvements.

Vendor Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact with software vendors (Sage, ADP, LeaseQuery, etc.) for escalations, renewals, and new feature evaluations.
  • Lead RFPs and assessments for new tools when gaps are identified.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes (e.g., AP automation, expense management, payroll integrations).
  • Lead or support robotic process automation (RPA) initiatives related to accounting workflows.

KPIs & Performance

  • Establish and monitor KPIs for accounting system performance, reporting accuracy, and integration stability.
  • Drive measurable improvements in close cycle time, reconciliation accuracy, and reporting delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial systems, or ERP administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct (required), ADP, LeaseQuery, and other financial systems.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting processes (AR, AP, GL, Payroll, Inventory).
  • Demonstrated experience leading system migrations, integrations, or ERP implementations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
